The four-day international film festival CIFFI2019 started off with great energy, zest and zeal. The guest of honour was Mr. Khalid Mohamed- author, journalist international and a screenwriter. The other eminent dignitaries present at the inaugural session were Ms. Ravneet Pawha, Ms. Saara Lamberg, eminent filmmaker from Australia, Mr. R K Arora, CEO, Swen Today, Dr. Nakul Parashar, Director of Vigyan Prasar, Mr. Ram Kishore Parcha, Founder President of Delhi International Film Festival, Ms. Roseann Mandziuk, Professor in Texas State University, U.S. The film festival started with the lamp lightning ceremony followed by Saraswati Vandana. Post felicitation of the distinguished guests, the gathering was addressed by Prof (Dr.) Susmita Bala, Head of Department, DME Media School, Dr. Ambrish Saxena, Dean, DME Media School, Dr. Ravikant Swamy, Director of DME and Mr. Aman Sahani, Vice-Chancellor. The distinguished guests also spoke words of encouragement for the participating filmmakers and the festival. In the curtain raiser ceremony, CIFFI2019 catalogue and RIM book the book were released. The inaugural session was concluded by Ms Manmeet Kaur, festival co-director. The screening of films began soon after in the Nelson Mandela Auditorium and Studio 62.
